LAS AMERICAS - SANTO DOMINGO
The second closest airport is Santo Domingo ( SDQ), also know as Las Américas International Airport. The trip from the airport to Las Terrenas-Samana is about 2 hours by car, taxi or bus.

Low cost airlines from Europe: TUifly (Brussels) and TUI Airways ( UK)
Punta Cana Airport is about 4 hours away (transfer to Las Terrenas recommended by taxi /car rental )
Puerto Plata Airport is about 3 hours away (transfer recommended recommended by taxi)

Taxi transfer are available from any major Airport in the Dominican Republic
The most taken transfer is a taxi shuttle, this is a safe and secure way to get here and some of our drivers speak English. The vehicles are minibuses with AC and wifi.
A driver will await you at the airport with a card with your name on it and booking details

BUSSES TO LAS TERRENAS - Samana
BUS FROM SANTO DOMINGO TO LAS TERRENAS(company : Transporte Las Terrenas)
Travel time 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Bus Stations :
Just North of Zona Colonial Plaza Lama, on Calle Barahona #129 (Behind Plaza Lama)
Departures: 8:30am - 9:30am - 11am - 1:40pm - 3pm - 6pm
From the Highway, crossroads of Las Americas with Juan Pablo II, Parada Samana (About 20 minutes from Santo Domingo Airport
It is the same bus from Zona Colonial, departing about 30 minutes later.
Departures: 9am - 10am - 2:10pm - 3:30pm - 6:30pm
The end point of the bus is in the beginning of town ( near the Esso Gas station)
From there you need to take a taxi to your destination in Las Terrenas.
BUS FROM PUNTA CANA To LAS TERRENAS
Travel time 6 hours - Price +/- $2000RD
Take a taxi to the Expreso Bavaro Bus Station, around the Friusa intersection on the Avenida Estados Unidos. It is a large luxury bus with air-conditioning. 809- 682 9670.
Departure: 7am - 9am - 11am - 1pm - 3pm - 4pm. You will arrive in Santo Domingo about 3 hours later and must request the driver to let you off at the Parada Transporte Las Terrenas (stop) on the Highway. From there you need to take the bus to Las Terrenas- Samana. Explained above.
